While I wasn’t too happy with seeing Jon & Kate Gosselin in person, I did learn a couple of things about them that I didn’t before (besides their indifference to fans!)
- The show only films the kids for 2 days out of the week (with a couple of hours on a 3rd day for interviews)
- Lately Kate has been in NY 3 days a week, leaving Jon at home w/ the kids (they admittedly said this has been a bit rough on them)
- When the crew is on set they bring meals for the family, so Kate doesn’t always have to cook for the kids, especially on the busy shooting days. I’ve also heard rumors about them having a personal chef, but they didn’t mention it in the Q&A so I don’t know for sure.
Will update as I remember more 
Kate Gosselin is a liar.
1) The kids film 4-5 days a week.
The other 2-3 days Jon and Kate are at churches cross country getting love offerings and selling pics of their kids.
2) Jon does all the work with the kids anyway. Kate does nothing in regards to the kids. She relegates all that to the nannies, private chef and Jon. Kates always in bed with her laptop and phone making deals for sponsors, freetrips and other freebies. And all her botox, Spa trips and teeth veneers.
3) The crew does NOT feed the kids. that was an easy quick lie that Kate thunk up. Kate has a private organic chef that brings all the meals and food in the morning with fresh flowers (you always see those on the table) and wine.
All she wanted out of YOU abd your church was MONEY.
I was raised in rural indiana. My family had the opportunity to live by relatives who raised 17 CHILDREN. They were the best family I have ever known. We grew up around them and shared in awesome birthdays, swimming, church, visiting older kids at colleges all over the state, etc… This family now has everyone raised. Most are married, (none have divorced) most graduated from college, most have smaller families, etc etc. They get together annually for what is a weekend of fun, food and family, and they all love eachother.
These parents did this with prayer, love, hardwork and perserverence. I always wondered why they didnt write a book….NOW I KNOW WHY???
The public exploits, assumes, pressures, bad mouths and second guesses everything.
I dont know the answers for families like the GOSSELINS OR DUGGARS. I do know this…God has blessed them many times over. I hope what they are doing is kept in perspective and is balanced because you only get one chance to raise your kids and then it is over. I hope they dont end up with any regrets.
And to the public….if you dont have anything nice to say…dont say anything at all.
