OK, I tend to say I’m going on a diet all the time, and rarely does it last for more than an afternoon. However, this time it’s after a 4-day weekend pigging out on everything in sight in Boston. So I’m thinking I should take it seriously this week.
Today I figured out that if I write down everything I’ve eaten, I might be able to feel guilty enough when I read the list that I’ll stop pigging out. Today’s list is:
- 3 cups of coffee (can’t be helped when I wake up at 6am)
- handful of sunflower seeds (would’ve been 2)
- ham & cheese sandwich
- 8 pieces of candy corn (OK, I caved a little here)
- chicken recipe from allrecipes.com (picked b/c it was in the “healthy living” section…blech), w/ fresh broccoli & homemade sweet potato fries as sides (those were damn good…toss w/ olive oil mixed w/ italian dressing mix and bake)
Day 1 accomplished. If you want to try the recipe, skip the lemon juice (or at least halve it…1 tbsp made it waaaay too tart)
Can’t bring myself to Wii fit my way back into shape yet…not ready to hear it tell me I’m a pig
